Test List

Devices can be put on test so its test or runaway alarms are not put into a dispatch queue. Events associated with devices on test or runaway will appear italicized and grayed out in the History. stages™ Browser Wrapper

The stages™ Browser Wrapper is an application running a web browser inside.
Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) have some default coding that interferes with what stages™ can accomplish. The stages™ Browser suppresses the default coding and allows stages™ to run as it is intended. .Net 2.0 is required for using the stages™ Browsers.

Features

The stages™ Browser enables the Client TAPI Auto Dial features in stages™.
The stages™ Browser enables the User Role options for 'Alarm Force Maximize', 'Alarm Disallow Minimize' and 'Alarm Always On Top'.
Browser functions that can disrupt dispatch such as the back and forward buttons, F5 for refresh, and Alt+F4 for close are suppressed by the stages™ Browser.
The stages™ Browser only opens to the stages™ Application. The navigation bar for the browser is suppressed, so other URLs cannot be entered.

Schedule

stages™ allows for schedule entry and records a history of opens, closes and alarms for each device. All open and close events are logged into history. Additional alarm events can be generated for events that occur outside the normal schedule. Schedules are entered in the Area and Open/Close tab of the Site Data Entry window. Schedules can also be added to a Site Group.

Alarm Panels can be divided into multiple areas, each relating to a different schedule and unscheduled disarm rules.

Follow Up

If an action needs to be completed on a Site that cannot be done at the current time, a Follow Up can be created to log the action. Clicking the Follow Up button from the alarm dispatch or site data entry winodws will open a window with a list on the left and detail on the right. Enter a new follow up on the detail. Enter expire date and time for the time the action should be taken by. Follow Ups can be assigned to a user. Describe the action to be taken in the comment field. Follow ups are cleared on the list mode on the left. The list displays a short version of the comment; the flyout contains the full comment. If the follow up is not cleared before the expire date/time, an alarm for Late Follow Up will be generated.

When there is a pending follow up on the site, the Follow Up button will be red.

Creating a Follow Up logs the Operator Action 'CRFOL' with the follow up comment. Clearing the Follow Up opens in a new window allowing for a comment to be entered, and logs the action 'CLFOL'. ...

Site Data Entry

Site Information is edited on the Site Data Entry tabs. The Site Data Entry window is accessed from the Site Lookup search by pressing the Data Entry button and the Alarm Dispatch window by pressing the Site button .

The left pane displays the transmitter number of the site devices. If the site has multiple devices, they can be switched by double-clicking the row. The Site View pane in the center displays the site information and buttons to open additional information or data entry functions. Site Notes are displayed in the top right.

The top row of the Site View pane displays Data Entry status information. This will show whether a Contact has been validated, and if the Data Entry screen is in View Only mode. Site Groups can enforce that users marked as Operators cannot perform data entry. A stages™ Option can be set so that only one user can have write access to Site Data Entry at a time. ...

Site Activate is accessed from Site Lookup and provides a quick, scaled-down method of site data entry.

stages™ Setup

Address Usage

Address usages are used on additional addresses for sites, site groups, and agencies. The usage drop down allows for the address to be marked as billing, mail, premise... etc.

City, State

City, State, Zip, and County combinations are configured. States are maintained in a setup table (see below). The City, State table is used in the Zip Select on site data entry and the Agency City State.

State

States are maintained and used in City, State (above) and Region.

Time Zone

Operator Action Setup

Operator Actions are logged by the operator or automatically by stages™ during dispatch.

Alarm Disposition

Operator Actions can be logged with an Alarm Disposition to classify a "real" or "false" alarm.

Dispositions can be defaulted for the Operator Action, added by a user during dispatch, and set after the alarm in Alarm History.
